Freedom

“Caesar doesn’t belong with us, Sal,” Clare said firmly.

“Don’t do this. He’d never survive the predators.”

“Don’t deer co-exist with lions?”

“Caesar is domesticated.”

“We are forcing him into domestication.”

“But we treat him as an equal…like a human”

“Humans are not chained. We should let him go.”

They had come to the dense part of the jungle. Clare let Caesar down. He licked her hands and wagged his tail.

“Nobody owns you now, Caesar,” Clare said, softly, “You are free.”

Caesar heard a howl from afar. He took a few tentative steps, then ran into the wild.

The Country in Far East

There is a country on the Far East

much favoured by every beauty of nature

A land of splendid hills

Here the flowers are not plucked

and the roads are not soiled

There is unlimited freedom

with different people united

Voices are soft

and everybody is heard

Animals speak here –

Dogs in a pleasing voice,

Horses commanding

Cats proud

and the squirrels in a melting tone

No arrogance and abuse

in the countless networking sites

Acceptance and equality all around

with opportunities in abundance

Freedom

The gold fish in the restricted aquarium

constantly kept his mouth open.

Was that to breathe or eat?

Perhaps that, or perhaps the desire

of tasting the seawater to which

he once belonged

He could have been a prey

to sharks or killer whales,

but the dangers of the deep sea

seemed trivial to this prisoner

of comfort who longed for his freedom

in the salty ocean
