Ligo Haibun Challenge

Welcome to the Ligo Haibun Challenge. The choices for this week are:

Today – Ten Years Ago

or

Dewdrops

We welcome suggestions for word/phrase or visual prompts

Check out the rules below:

  • The haiku/collection of haiku related to the text to close. The haiku should be as authentic as possible, with no syllable count, no capitals or full stop, all ideally making 220 word max.
  • Wear the Ligo badge to the right with pride on your blog! And pin the Circle of Appreciation to your blog if you haibun is selected as an honourable mention!
  • Prizes are given on special occasions

Do include your haibun to the link collection below.

The special mention for the previous week’s Ligo Haibun Challenge is:

Patricia: The haibun seamlessly brings out the reversal of roles with the passage of time. They are resigned to the fate of the father, but take it on with peace and dignity.

  2. Patricia is a perfect choice for the special mention. Actually I am always so very impressed with each of those who enter and their level of writing skills. There is something about the Haibun Challenge that brings that special quality out of each writers words! Just excellent! 🙂
